It’s time for the Church, the Body of Christ, to take center-stage, because there’s no other institution on Earth that’s equipped to solve the complexity and magnitude of today’s problems. Unfortunately, we have preached about going to heaven rather than ruling here on Earth. We have preached church instead of kingdom; that’s why a fellow Christian will tell you, “My church is better than your church” or “my pastor is more anointed than yours”, but it’s not possible to possess our inheritance or influence the nations, with this mindset. Only a revelation of God’s Kingdom, and a total submission to the King, will result in the power (John 14: 21) it takes to “subdue the ungodly kingdoms” of this earth.

When we understand the order of the kingdom, we will better understand specific parts of the kingdom like the ministry of angels (they are the army of the kingdom of God), and the anointed offices of kings and priests. Jesus teaches, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24: 14).

Why haven’t we heard more about the kingdom being demonstrated, preached, and established in the world? I believe it’s because of tradition, “Thus have ye made the commandment (Word) of God of none effect by your tradition” (Matthew 15: 6), and because many pastors have failed to embrace the greater revelation of the Holy Spirit, by choosing instead to stay with their denominational dogma. This is largely the product of the Church leadership and their traditional ways of thinking.

Because many churches or denominations have not been taught about the kingdom, many of the children of God have taken their “light of the world” no further than the four walls of a church building. Talented and gifted marketplace leaders have found few or limited opportunities for their gifts in the local church, and consequently, the kings have shown no strong sense of duty to support the kingdom’s mission or programs.

However, God is training up leaders (priests) who will fully embrace their kingdom authority to properly empower and educate the kings for marketplace influence, so they can effectively rule and reign over this Earth through the King, our Lord Jesus Christ.
